27/12/2021 Known family: Robert Walker, Lucinda Walker, Mary Eliza Walker (born 19th July 1893), George Walker (born 17th April 1895), Robert John Walker (born 2nd February 1897), Lucinda Walker (born 8th November 1900), Martha Walker (born 6th November 1902, died 1st January 1903), Annie Walker (born 25th May 1904).
27/12/2021 George Walker was born on 17th April 1895. He was the second of seven children, five surviving, all born in the Ballygawley area.
27/12/2021 Lance Corporal George Walker arrived in France with the Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers on 18th November 1915.
26/12/2021 George Walker was the oldest son of Robert Walker and Lucinda Walker, Robert Walker and Lucinda Campbell were married on 14th October 1892 in the district of Dungannon.

05/12/2016 George Walker was a member of the Ulster Volunteer Force and Ballygawley L.O.L.
05/12/2016 The parents of Private G Walker, Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers, who reside in Lisnaweary, Augher, County Tyrone, have been notified that their son was killed in action on 7th May. The deceased was a member of the U.V.F., Ballygawley L.O.L. and the 1st Lisdoart Company Boys Brigade. He was a nephew of Mrs Hanna, 53 Earl Street, Belfast.

30/12/2015 The 1911 census shows George as 15 years old. He was by then working on his father's farm. The family still lived in Lisnawery, Favor Royal, County Tyrone.

30/12/2015 Private George Walker was serving with the 9th Battalion of the Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers when he was killed in action near Authuile in France on 8th May 1916. He was 21 years old.
