Sergeant Thomas Cardwell is buried in Rangoon War Cemetery, Myanmar, Burma. His inscription reads ‘SAFE IN THE ARMS OF JESUS...SWEETLY HIS SOUL SHALL REST. LOVING WIFE AND CHILDREN’
Sergeant Thomas Cardwell is commemorated locally on Dungannon War Memorial and on the WW2 stained glass window in St Anne’s Church of Ireland, Dungannon.
