Summary
Thomas Harry Cardwell was the son of William James and Sarah Cardwell. He was born about 1915. Thomas was the husband of Elizabeth Cardwell of Dungannon. Sergeant Thomas Harry Cardwell was serving with the 136th Field Regiment of the Royal Artillery when he died on 7th July 1945, aged 30.
The Rangoon Memorial is situated in Taukkyan War Cemetery, which is about 35 kilometres north of Yangon (formerly Rangoon). The cemetery is on PY1 Road (formerly Prome Road), about 15 kilometres from the airport and can be easily seen from the road.
