Henry Robinson was the son of Henry William and Martha Robinson. Henry Robinson was born on 16th October 1886 in Caledon, County Tyrone. He was one of at least nine children. Sergeant Henry Robinson was serving with the 7th Battalion of the Cameronians (Scottish Rifles) when he died of wounds at Gallipoli on 12th July 1915.

Henry 'Harry' Robinson entered the Customs & Excise in 1905 and was stationed in Liverpool for a time. While there he became a member of the Liverpool Scottish.
Harry was transferred to Glasgow in 1907, and in 1909 became a member of the 7th Scottish Rifles. Henry Robinson was an enthusiastic Territorial, and attained the rank of sergeant in 1912.
Harry married Rachel Ellen Robinson (nee Cochrane) in 1913.
Sergeant Henry Robinson arrived in the Balkans with the Cameronians (Scottish Rifles) on 14th June 1915.
Sergeant Henry Robinson was serving with the 7th Battalion of the Cameronians (Scottish Rifles) when he died of wounds at Gallipoli on 12th July 1915.
During the Gallipoli campaign, the Allied force at Helles pushed forward once more on 4 June, but again to little effect. A further attack between 28 June and 5 July at Gully Ravine inflicted heavy casualties on the Turks, but despite local gains - at one point the line was pushed forward more than a kilometre - there was no breakthrough. By 13 July the advance at Helles was effectively over and the position remained unchanged until the evacuation in January 1916.

Official information has been received of the death from wounds received in action at the Dardanelles of Sergeant Harry Robinson 1st-7th Scottish Rifles. Sergeant Robinson, who was born in Caledon twenty eight years ago, was well-known in Glasgow and district, being in civil life an officer of Customs and Excise. He entered the Customs ten years ago, and was stationed in Liverpool for a time. While there he became a member of the Liverpool Scottish. He was transferred to Glasgow in 1907, and in 1909 became a member of the 7th Scottish Rifles. He was an enthusiastic Territorial, and attained the rank of sergeant in 1912. the deceased went to the front with his regiment on May. He was married two years ago and leaves a widow and son.
