John Condy was the son of John and Annie Condy. John Condy was born in Dungannon, County Tyrone on 30 April 1891. The 1901 census records John as 9 years old. The family were living in Mullnahunch, Clananeese, Tyrone. Johnís father was a farmer. By the time of the 1911 census, Johnís mother had died. John no longer lived with his father. In March 1913, John Condy arrived in New York. John Condy was living in New York City when he travelled by train from New York to enlist on 2nd March 1918. Gunner John Condy served with the Canadian Field Artillery. He died after the war on 24 July 1921.
