Robert Alexander Jordan was born in Donaghmore, County Tyrone. Robert enlisted in Pontefract, England. Private Robert Jordan was serving with the 1st Battalion of the Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers when he was killed in action on the first day of the Battle of the Somme on 1st July 1916. Private Robert Jordan has no known grave and is commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial.
