21/01/2021 Andrew Clark was born on 21st November 1897. He was the oldest of four children, all born in the Dungannon area.
21/01/2021 Lance Corporal Andrew Joshua Clark is listed on page 68 of the Ballygawley War Dead book.
21/01/2021 The 1901 census shows Andrew as 3 years old. His father William was a farmer who was born in Scotland. The family lived with Jane’s mother and sister. They lived in Bockets, Aghnahoe, Tyrone.
21/01/2021 Andrew’s mother, Jane Clark, died on 9th May 1905 in the Dungannon area, aged 34. Andrew was seven years old.
21/01/2021 A year later, William Clark married Eliza Moore on 11th September 1906 in the Dungannon area. They went on to have four children together.
21/01/2021 The 1911 census records Andrew as 12 years old. He was at school. His father was a farmer living with his new wife and family. The large family still lived in Bockets, Aghnahoe, Ballygawley, County Tyrone.

30/12/2015 Lance Corporal Andrew Joshua Clark was serving with the Royal Irish Fusiliers when he died of pneumonia on 13 February 1919. He was aged 21.
30/12/2015 Lance Corporal Andrew Joshua Clark was buried outside Dungannon in Upper Clonaneese Presbyterian Churchyard
30/12/2015 Andrew Clark enlisted on 20th January 1919. Almost immediately, he contracted pneumonia.
