13/02/2020 James Houston is commemorated locally on Dungannon War Memorial and on the WW2 stained glass window in St Anne’s Church of Ireland, Dungannon.
13/02/2020 Fusilier James Houston, along with the other men, were reburied on 8th July 1947 in Esquelmes War Cemetery in Hainaut, Belgium.
13/02/2020 According to The CWGC Concentration Report, he was one of six men from the 2nd Inniskillings and 2nd Cameronians who were originally buried in Hollebeek Temporary Burial Ground.
13/02/2020 Fusilier James Houston was serving with the 2nd Battalion of the Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers when he was killed in action on the French Belgium border on 1st June 1940. It was during the retreat to Dunkirk. He was 29 years old.
