30/12/2015 Mr John Gallagher, ex Great Northern Railway (G.N.R) employee, who resides in Drumeenagh, Killyman, has received official intimation that his son, Private William Gallagher, Tyrone Volunteers, is missing since 1st July, and is believed to have been killed. He was a labourer in the employment of Mr T W Douglas, Culnagor, and was a member of Killyman L.O.L No 33.

30/12/2015 His father, John Gallagher, was an ex-Great Northern Railway (G.N.R) employee, who lived in Drumeenagh, Killyman.
30/12/2015 William Gallagher was a member of Killyman L.O.L No 33.

30/12/2015 From the Tyrone Courier dated 17 August 1916:
30/12/2015 Private William Gallagher (13345) was serving with the 9th Battalion of the Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers when he was killed on the first day of the Battle of the Somme on 1st July 1916. He was just 18 years old.
30/12/2015 William Gallagher enlisted in Dungannon. He is recorded as living in the Moy area at the time.
30/12/2015 William was a labourer in the employment of Mr T W Douglas, Culnagor.
30/12/2015 William John Gallagher was the son of John Gallagher. William was born in Killyman, Dungannon, County Tyrone.
