30/12/2015 Intimation has been received of the death in action of Private James Sweeney, of the Motor Transport section of the Army Service Corps, a native of Derryherriff Cashelmore, Dunfanaghy, County Donegal, and a nephew of Mrs Joseph Cush, Market Square, Dungannon. The deceased had been in the employment of Messrs. Inglis & Co, at Dungannon. An assistant bread-server for some three years and subsequently promoted to Castlewellan, joining the army on the outbreak of war. He was extremely popular, and much sympathy is felt for his grieving father and mother and other relatives in the loss they have sustained.
