I expect this will be the last fro some time because we have to go to the French Frontier by Monday. You need not write because I would not receive a letter. I will be able to drop you a postcard when I get out there. I am also glad to hear of the great reception you got at Sixmilecross. Do not be uneasy. By God's help I will return to you safe again. I am also glad that you got my watch. Dear Martha, don't fret about me. I want you to take sole possession of all I have. What is mine remember it belongs to you. You can auction all out if you think it foolish keeping the house on. Remember me to your mother and Susy. Do not worry any more about me. You shall be alright. I will now draw to a close.
