John McGarrity was the second son of John and Elizabeth McGarrity. John McGarrity and Elizabeth Murray were married on 29th July 1884 in the district of Dungannon.
John McGarrity was born on 24th July 1888. He was one of at least three sons, all born in Dungannon.
Known family: John McGarrity, Elizabeth McGarrity, Patrick McGarrity (born 17th March 1886), John McGarrity (born 24th July 1888), Thomas McGarrity (born 12th November 1890).
It seems the family moved to Scotland, as they don’t seem to be on the 1901 Irish census.
