Thomas James Hagan was the son of John and Margaret Hagan. Thomas was born in Drummond, Moy, County Tyrone in 1898. The family were farmers. Thomas James Hagan enlisted in Londonderry. Private Thomas Hagan was serving with the 11th Battalion of the Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers when he was killed in action in France & Flanders on the Thursday 16th August 1917. He was just 18 years old. Private Thomas James Hagan has no known grave is commemorated on the Tyne Cot Memorial in Belgium.

Thomas James Hagan was the second son of John and Margaret Hagan. John Hagan and Margaret Rocks were married on 3rd October 1893 in the district of Dungannon.
Thomas James Hagan was born 31st August 1898. He was one of six children, all born in the Drummond area near Moy in County Tyrone.
The 1901 census lists Thomas James Hagan as age 2 living with the family at house 33 in Drummond, Moy, County Tyrone. John Hagan was a farmer.

The 1911 census lists Thomas James Hagan as age 12 living with the family at house 23 in Drummond, Moy, County Tyrone. Thomas was still at school. The family were farmers.
Thomas James Hagan enlisted in Londonderry.

Private Thomas Hagan was serving with the 11th Battalion of the Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers when he was killed in action in France & Flanders on Thursday 16th August 1917. He was just two weeks short of his 19th birthday.
From the Tyrone Courier and News dated Thursday 27 September 1917:
Private Thomas Hagan, Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers, missing since 16th August, is a son of Mr John Hagan, Drummond, Dungannon
In his will, Thomas left all to his mother.
Last Will and Testament of Private Thomas Hagan dated 2nd December 1916:
In the event of my death, I give the whole of my property and effects to my mother, Mrs Mary Hagan, Drummond, Dungannon, County Tyrone. Private Thomas Hagan, 27450, Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers.
Private Thomas Hagan has no known grave is commemorated on the Tyne Cot Memorial in Belgium.
Private Thomas James Hagan is commemorated locally on Moy War Memorial.
