Private John McKenna (6260) was serving with the 1st Battalion of the Scots Guards when he was killed in action near Ypres on Wednesday 5th Apr 1916.

John was the husband of Alice McKenna of 50 Rosebery Gardens, Haringey, London.
John McKenna enlisted in Edinburgh.
Private John McKenna arrived in France with the Scots Guards on 27th August 1914.
Private John McKenna (6260) was serving with the 1st Battalion of the Scots Guards when he was killed in action near Ypres on Wednesday 5th April 1916.
Private John McKenna is buried in Potijze Chateau Wood Cemetery north east of Ypres in Belgium. His inscription reads: THEY MISS HIM MOST WHO LOVED HIM BEST

The CWGC record Private J McKenna as the son of Frank McKenna, Killarney, Clogher, County Tyrone. The CWGC also record him as the husband of Alice McKenna of 50 Rosebery Gardens, Haringey, London.
