Private Sheridan died of wounds on Tuesday 12th October 1915 in Alexandria. He was 20 years old.

Thomas Joseph Sheridan was the son of James and Mary Sheridan.
Thomas was born about 1895. Military records suggest he was born in Brackey, Sixmilecross, County Tyrone. The census records that he was born in County Monaghan.
Known family: James Sheridan, Mary Sheridan, Patrick Sheridan (born about 1887, County Monaghan), Thomas Sheridan (born about 1893, County Monaghan), James Sheridan (born about 1894, County Monaghan), Catherine Sheridan (born 3rd December 1899, Blackwatertown).
The 1901 census lists Thomas as age eight, living with the family at house 8 in Carrickaness, Glenaul, County Armagh. His father was a flax dresser.
Thomas Sheridan enlisted in Omagh.

Private Thomas Sheridan arrived in the Balkans with the Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers on 10th July 1915.
Private Thomas Sheridan was serving with the 5th Battalion of the Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers when he died of wounds on Tuesday 12th October 1915 in Alexandria. Egypt. He was 20 years old.
Thomas’ brother, Private James Sheridan, also died in the war.
Private Thomas Sheridan is buried in Alexandria (Chatby) Military Cemetery. His inscription reads: HE DIED THAT OTHERS MIGHT LIVE
