William Jordan was the son of Thomas and Margaret Jordan. William was born in Corrylongford, on 1st June 1894. William worked as a farm labourer. He enlisted in Fivemiletown. William Jordan was the youngest son of Thomas and Margaret Jordan.
William was born in Corrylongford, County Fermanagh on 1st June 1894. He was one of nine children, eight surviving.

The 1901 census lists William as age 5 living with the family at house 7 in Corlacky, Corrylongford, County Fermanagh. His father, Thomas Jordan, was a 76 year old caretaker.
The 1911 census lists William as age 17 living with the family at house 2 in Derrintony, Corralongford, County Fermanagh. His father was 90. His mother was 60. William worked as a farm labourer.
William Jordan enlisted in Fivemiletown.
Private William Jordan was serving with the 9th Battalion of the Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers when he was killed in action near Ypres on Friday 10th August 1917. He was 23 years old.

Private Willie Jordan, killed, was a brother of Miss Jordan, of Fivemiletown
Private Jordan is buried in New Irish Farm Cemetery. It was first used from August to November 1917 and was named after a nearby farm.
Private William Jordan is commemorated locally on Fivemiletown War Memorial.
