Charles Henry Cousins was the only son of Henry and J. Elizabeth Cousins. He was born in Lurgan, County Armagh on 12th December 1901. His father Henry died sometime between 1901 and 1905. His mother remarried around 1905 to William Stewart McClean. The 1911 census records that the family lived at house 3 in Roughan, Augher, County Tyrone. Charles Cousins enlisted in the RAF on 25th September 1918. Private Cousins served at the RAF School of Technical Training at Halton, Buckinghamshire, England. Private Cousins died at Central Military Hospital Aylesbury on 22nd Oct 1918. He was 18 years old.

Charles Henry Cousins was the only son of Henry and J Elizabeth Cousins (nee Bloomer).
Charles was born in Lurgan, County Armagh on 12th December 1901.
Family: Henry Cousins, Elizabeth Cousins, Mary E Cousins (born 13th July 1896, Belfast), Laura Jane Cousins (born 22nd April 1898, Lurgan), Eveline Wilhelmine Cousins (born 12th July 1899, Lurgan), Charles Henry Cousins (born 12th December 1901, Lurgan).
The 1901 census records the family living at 31 Princes Street, Lurgan. Henry Cousins was a power loom weaver.
Charles’ father, Private Henry Cousins, served with the Royal Garrison Regiment. He was killed in Boer War at Bloemfontein.
His mother remarried around 1905 to William Stewart McClean.
William and Elizabeth McClean went on to have one further child. Jenetta Maria McClean was born on 7th June 1906 in Clogher.
The 1911 census records that the family lived at house 3 in Roughan, Augher, County Tyrone. Charles Henry Cousins was 9 years old. His step-father William was a labourer.
Charles Cousins enlisted in the RAF on 25th September 1918. He was aged 17 and three quarters. He gave his occupation as a farmer. He gave his next of kin as his mother Mrs M McClean, of Roughan, Augher, County Tyrone. He was 5ft 7½ in with dark hair and blue eyes.

Private Charles Cousins died at Central Military Hospital Aylesbury on 22nd Oct 1918. He was 18 years old.
Private Charles Cousins is buried in Aylesbury Cemetery, Buckinghamshire. His inscription reads: TO MEMORY EVER DEAR
