Summary
Daniel Brannigan was the son of John and Bridget Brannigan. He was born 11th October 1894 born in Clogher. He was one of ten children. They were a farming family who lived midway between Clogher and Beragh. Private Daniel Brannigan arrived in the Balkans on 5th November 1915. Private Daniel Brannigan was serving with the 1st Battalion of the Royal Dublin Fusiliers when he was killed in action at the Somme on Friday 21st July 1916.

Daniel Brannigan was the son of John and Bridget Brannigan. John Brannigan and Bridget Donnelly were married on 1st September 1887 in the district of Dungannon.
Daniel Brannigan was born 11th October 1894 born in Clogher. He was one of ten children.
The 1901 census lists Daniel as age 7, living with the family at house 2 in Coolesker, Beragh, County Tyrone. John Brannigan was a farm labourer.

By the time of the 1911 census, Daniel no longer lived with the family. They had moved to Lurganaglare, Kilfaddy, Tyrone, near Fintona.
The 1911 census possibly lists Daniel as age 16, living with , as a servant, the Donnelly family at house 21 in Aghafad, Draughton, County Tyrone. Draughton is in the parish of Donaghcavey, partly in the barony of Omagh, but chiefly in that of Clogher.
Private Daniel Brannigan arrived in the Balkans on 5th November 1915.
Private Daniel Brannigan was serving with the 1st Battalion of the Royal Dublin Fusiliers when he was killed in action at the Somme on Friday 21st July 1916.

Private Daniel Brannigan is buried in Knightsbridge Cemetery in Mesnil-Martinsart, west of Thiepval.
