John George Jones was the son of John and Sarah Eliza Jones. John Jones was born in Caledon, County Tyrone about 1898. By the time of the 1911 census, John was 12 years old and was living with the Ferry family in Mineveigh, Newmills. Private John George Jones was serving with the Royal Army Service Corps when he died at home on 21st June 1918. He was 20 years old.
