William George Galloway was born in County Tyrone in 1872. The 1901 census lists William as age 29, living in Aughnacloy. Her married for a second time in 1904. He was a civil bill officer. William is recorded as living in Durham when he enlisted with the West Yorkshire Regiment. Private William Galloway was serving with the 16th West Yorkshire Regiment when he was wounded, suffering shell shock on 27th August 1916. It is thought he survived the war, but may have died afterwards.
