Summary      
Charles Thomson was the son of Rev Charles Logan Thomson and Agnes Isles Thomson. He was born 30th November 1890 in his father’s home village of Caledon. Sometime between 1901 and 1911 the family moved to Scotland. Private Charles Thomson was serving with the 9th Battalion of the Royal Scots when he was killed in action on Monday 23rd April 1917.

The Arras Memorial is in the Faubourg-d'Amiens Cemetery, which is in the Boulevard du General de Gaulle in the western part of the town of Arras. The cemetery is near the Citadel, approximately 2 kms due west of the railway station.
