Vlagtwedde is 46 kilometres east of Assen and 16 kilometres south-south-east of Winschofen. The cemetery is in the north-eastern part of Vlagtwedde, about 100 metres north of the road to Baurtange. In the north-western part of the cemetery five airmen, one British and four belonging to the Royal Canadian Air Force, are buried.
