Summary
Robert Hall was the son of Samuel and Eliza Ann Hall. He was born about 1892 in Fivemiletown, Co. Tyrone. The 1901 census shows Robert as 8 years old living with the family in Aughavoory, Corrylongford, Fermanagh. His father Samuel was a farmer. By 1911, Robert Hall was 19 years old. He was working as a grocer’s assistant. He is still living with the family in Aghavoory, Corrylongford, Fermanagh. Robert Hall enlisted in Armagh. Private Robert Hall was serving with the 9th Battalion of the Royal Irish Fusiliers when he was killed in action in France on 16 August 1917, age 25.
