30/12/2015 Charles Frederick Marshall was the son of Charles and Mary Marshall. Frederick was born in Sixmilecross, County Tyrone on 17th August 1890.
30/12/2015 The 1901 census lists Charles Frederick as age 11 living with the family at house 64 in Sixmilecross, County Tyrone. His mother had died. His father was a teacher at the National School, Sixmilecross.

30/12/2015 Private Charles Frederick Marshall was serving with 'A' Company of the 8th Battalion of the Royal Munster Fusiliers when he was killed in action on Saturday 9th September 1916 in France.
30/12/2015 In his will, dated 18th January 1916, Private Marshall left his effects to his brother who was by then Rev Robert Lyons Marshall of The Manse, Maghera.
30/12/2015 The CWGC record Private Marshall as the son of Charles Marshall, of Sixmilecross, Co. Tyrone, and the late Mary Marshall. He came from U.S.A. in 1914 to serve. He was educated at the Royal School, Dungannon, Co Tyrone.
30/12/2015 Private Charles Frederick Marshall has no known grave and is commemorated on Thiepval Memorial.
