Summary      
Herbert Igoe was the son of William and Isabella Igoe. He was born on 8th May 1887 in Moy, County Tyrone. He was one of ten children, nine surviving, all born in the Dungannon area. By 1911 he had left school and was a shop assistant. His father was a horse dealer and trainer. Herbert Igoe enlisted in Glasgow. Private Herbert Igoe was serving with the 1st Battalion of the Irish Guards when he died on 9th October 1917.

Herbert Igoe was the son of William and Isabella Igoe. William Igoe and Isabella O'Connor were married on 20th August 1874 in the district of Armagh.
Herbert Igoe was born on 8th May 1887 in Moy, County Tyrone. He was one of ten children, nine surviving, all born in the Dungannon area.

The 1901 census shows Herbert to be 13 years old. He was living with the family at Dungannon Street, Moy, Tyrone. He had left school and was a shop assistant. Herbert's father William was a horse dealer and trainer.
The 1911 census does not appear to show Herbert to be still living in Ireland. The family was still living at Dungannon Street, Moy, Tyrone.
Herbert Igoe enlisted in Glasgow.

Private Herbert Igoe was serving with the 1st Battalion of the Irish Guards when he died on 9th October 1917. He was about 29 years old.
Private Herbert Igoe has no known grave and is commemorated on Tyne Cot Memorial in Belgium.
