Summary      
Edward Hughes was the son of James and Rebecca Hughes. Edward was born about 1885 near Coalisland in County Tyrone. The family was living at Derry, Tullyniskane, Tyrone. The CWGC records that Edward was the husband of Maggie Hughes, of 67 Parkhead Rows, Bellshill. Private Edward Hughes served with the 7th Battalion of the Royal Munster Fusiliers. Private Hughes died on 17th December 1915, age 30. He was buried at home at Bothwell (BELLSHILL) Cemetery, North Lanarkshire, Scotland. Private Edward Hughes is also commemorated on Bellshill War Memorial
