Isaac was the son of William and Martha Busby of Kedew, Caledon, Dungannon. He was born in Caledon about 1880. In the 1910 Ulster Town’s Directory, Isaac is listed as a coachman. By the time of the 1911 census, 30 year old Isaac is married to Agnes. His occupation is listed as Coachman and Domestic Servant. Isaac was living in Killylea, Co Armagh when he enlisted in Belfast. Lance Corporal Isaac Busby was with the 12th Battalion Royal Irish Rifles when he was killed in action on 15th August 1917.

Summary      
Ypres (now Ieper) is a town in the Province of West Flanders. The Memorial is situated at the eastern side of the town on the road to Menin (Menen) and Courtrai (Kortrijk). Each night at 8 pm the traffic is stopped at the Menin Gate while members of the local Fire Brigade sound the Last Post in the roadway under the Memorial's arches.
