Summary      
Samuel James Wright was the youngest son of Thomas and Mary Wright. He was born on 6th October 1889 in Aughnacloy. He was the youngest of at least nine children. The 1901 census has a possible listing of Samuel age 11, living with the family at house 112 in Moore Street, Aughnacloy. Samuel emigrated to the United States. He was living in Pennsylvania prior to enlisting. Sergeant Samuel J Wright was serving with 23rd Infantry Regiment, 2nd Division, of the United States Army when he was killed in action in France on 19th July 1918.

Summary      
The Oise-Aisne American Cemetery and Memorial is an American military cemetery in northern France. Plots A through D contains the graves of 6,012 American soldiers who died while fighting in this vicinity during World War I, 597 of which were not identified, as well as a monument for 241 Americans who were missing in action during battles in the same area and whose remains were never recovered.
