Summary      
Robert Malone was the son of Henry and Elizabeth Mary Malone. He was born on 19th November 1908. He was one of seven children, all born in the Brookeborough area. Robert was the husband of Jeannie Malone. At the outbreak of World War Two, the 1st Battalion of the Irish Guards were based in London. In March 1943, the battalion was sent to North Africa. Warrant Officer (Class II), Company Sergeant Major Robert Malone was serving with the 1st Battalion of the Irish Guards when he was decapitated on 27th April 1943 in Tunisia.
