Henry Alexander Love was the son of William and Emily Love. Henry was born in Clogher, County Tyrone about March 1888. The family emmmigrated to Australia before 1911. Henry Love enlisted on 31st December 1915 in Lismore, New South Wales with the Australian Infantry. Private Henry Love embarked from Sydney on 17th May 1916. He disembarked at Devonport, England on 20th July 1916. On the 29th October 1916 he proceeded overseas with the 41st battalion. Private Henry Love was killed in action a year later on 5th October 1917.

The names of those from New Zealand units are inscribed on panels within the New Zealand Memorial Apse located at the centre of the Memorial.
